NEW YORK -B ernie Sanders failed to impress major media outlets over the weekend as he barely managed to win seventy per cent of the vote in three western primaries.

The major cable networks briefly mentioned Sanders’s vote tallies in Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii but noted that he ran out of steam well shy of eighty per cent.

“There’s no point in sugarcoating it,” one analyst put it. “Rough night for Sanders.”

According to one cable executive, Sanders needs to “put up some big numbers fast” if he expects the networks to continue giving his campaign airtime.

“It’s going to be harder and harder to justify covering him while he’s stuck down in the seventy-per-cent range,” the executive said.

While Sanders campaign officials remain optimistic about the upcoming primary in Wisconsin, media outlets are calling it a “do or die” state after his sputtering finishes over the weekend.

“I think if he limps across the finish line with, say, seventy-five or seventy-nine per cent, it’s going to be time for him to reassess things,” one cable representative said. “That would have to be a wake-up call.”

A spokesperson for CNN could not be reached for comment, as the network was busy preparing a ninety-minute special on the birth of Donald Trump’s new grandchild.

that has now voted he has less and less chance of somehow pulling off a win. The press know this. You simply can't expect them to enormously distort the situation to please the small group among Bernie's supporters who are unwilling to face this reality. They did report the huge percentages Bernie carried in small states as huge percentages for him and as the genuine but little losses for Hillary that they were.

that's the % needed by Bernie for each of the remaining primaries to win

and that % calculus will reduce with each primary if the trends hold and support continues to grow as it has

A couple of things. I know. You've been encouraged to think they don't matter. Okay. We'll see how they both do in New York's closed primary on April 19th and whether we have a real race. Something like 250 delegates after all. Until then, have a happy election.

The more voters are 'encouraged to think' as this primary cycle continues the worse it gets for HRC

considering that HRC supporters are actually shifting their 'goalposts' to accommodate their meme is remarkable in and of itself...

Happy primary voting indeed...

it's where I live. Still haven't meet a democrat who's happy about the idea of voting for Hillary. But we are enjoying actually mattering during a primary for once.

For New York's U.S. Senator. Sure. People choose their friends. But there are a very large number of people out there who voted for her. Who voted for her policies because they are theirs. Who fully understand what it is to enjoy mattering during primaries, and generals. I'm not saying he can't win, I'm just saying... there are a lot of other people in New York?

The exact same vote everyone else does. And guess what? Their votes matter just as much to them as yours does to you . If you want everyone around you to cheer and agree that Bernie is inevitable and start planning to attend his inauguration, etc, etc, take it to the BS forum.
