Sanders got a boost last week after scoring five blowouts, and has since tried to show that hes still very much a contender. Hes emphasized that superdelegates could reconsider their support of Clinton and has tried to pressure her into a debate ahead of the New York primary on April 19.
Tad Devine, a senior adviser to Sanders, held his own call with reporters on Monday where he predicted a rosy path forward and called Clinton a "weak front-runner."

Michael Briggs, a spokesman for Sanders, hit back at Benenson on Monday afternoon. "Sen. Sanders has never run a negative ad in his life," he said, adding, "Some people this year wanted a coronation instead of a campaign in which we debate our rigged economy and corrupt campaign finance system. But despite what the pundits and establishment politicians wanted, our grassroots supporters are giving us a political revolution. I can see how that might put Mr. Benenson in a bad mood."

(3,937 posts)Benenson is a big believer that running negative ads hurts the campaign running them. The big problem for him is Sanders isn't running negative ads and never has so coming out of the weekend of the magic birdie, Benenson goes back to this ad nauseum lie.

(57,936 posts)In fact this last ad that starts with a picture of him speaking at Liberty University is probably the least negative ad I have ever seen in any election. It is marvelously loving and warm, caring and responsible. There is nothing negative about it.
How could anyone accuse Sanders of negative ads? Please provide a link.

(57,936 posts)own policy about reform of the financial sector is so bad that mentioning it is a negative slam at her.
Bernie has done no negative ads. Hillary should debate in New York state.
They need to debate about reform of the financial sector among other things in New York state.
