I'm really getting a kick out of all the posts screaming for Bernie to release them. How desperate do you have to be to:

1) think that Bernie has done something financially illegal that will nail him (ironic, considering); and,

2) try and make others believe his tax returns are in some way comparable to Hillary's transcripts.

But that's all they've got, apparently.

Bernie didn't say he wouldn't release them. He said his wife does the taxes and they have been a bit busy. The Hillary folk expect her to come off the road, rush home and get them all together for release. Maybe that's the solution to all the release issues. Jane can run home and release their taxes and Bill can rush home and get the transcripts together.

15. IMO it seems like it's

standard practice in politics to let questions about releasing tax returns linger.

It creates a lot of free campaign advertising and if there isn't anything to hide, letting it get some free press prior to releasing them probably isn't a bad idea for a campaign.

Every candidate running for the Presidency knows from day one they're going to have to release their tax returns at some point, but yet some hold out - free advertising.
