Oh oh.....
Another day and it looks like the Clinton's are about to be embroiled in yet ANOTHER scandal.
UBS is caught in the middle of the scandal, a bank who funneled millions to the Clinton's after Hillary helped them. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/07/hillary-helps-a-bankand-then-it-pays-bill-15-million-in-speaking-fees/400067/

(55,745 posts)After his exit from the US Senate, Phil Gramm found a job at Swiss bank UBS as vice chairman. He later brought in former President Bill Clinton to the Wealth Management team. What a coincidence, they are the two key figures in repealing Glass-Steagal. Since the New Deal it was the financial regulation that protected the US taxpayer from the Wall Street casino. Oh well, what are a few hundred million in speaking fees compared to a $16 trillion bailout among friends?
It's a Buy-Partisan Who's Who:

One of my attorney chums doesn't like to see his name on any committees, event letterhead or political campaign literature. These folks, it seems to me, are past caring.
Some of why DUers and ALL voters should care about Phil Gramm.
The fact the nation's "news media" don't bring this up AT ALL should be of great concern to all who care about Democracy.

(36,437 posts)1) Hillary Clinton defends a trade deal involving Panama, one that was promoted heavily by US government while she was Secretary of State.
2) There is a bank called UBS.
3) A bank called UBS has some involvement in setting up offshore shell companies in Panama. Never mind what that involvement might be.
4) A bank called UBS paid Bill Clinton $1.5 million for speeches.
5) As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was involved in negotiations to reveal US nationals using tax harbors in Swiss banks.
From this assortment, we get "UBS PAID HILLARY TO HELP HIDE MONEY IN PANAMA!!!!!"
No, we don't get that. That would at least be an honest portrayal of what the OP is trying to say (without a shred of evidence, as usual). Rather, we get the typical sleazy, Stalinesque implication from a Sanders camp that seemingly finds it impossible to be honest about anything.

(23,018 posts)Amid warnings The Panama Free Trade Agreement would make Money Laundering and Tax Evasion worse, Hillary Still Pushed For and Negotiated an Agreement that brought us this corruption. http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511645512

(36,437 posts)It's not surprising the Secretary of State would be on record supporting the trade pacts promoted by the Administration.
The Administration was warned about the tax haven issue and certainly considered the effect of tax havens as part of the pacts, and decided it was on balance, still a good pact.
One can dispute this decision on policy grounds (I'd even agree to these disputes, mostly), but the OP is nothing but innuendo of corruption without evidence. Clearly, you have disagreed with the Obama administration on this question all along, which is fair enough, but deciding that the benefits of the pacts outweigh the tax haven and other costs is a policy decision, not an instance of corruption. I stand by my statement that the OP is a load of unconnected statements masquerading rather poorly as an argument.

(10,476 posts)This is a slight variations of Sanders "BIG BANKS ARE YUUUGE" one-trick pony.
That message hasn't worked out so well, given his virtually nonexistent chance to win the nomination now.
All in all?

(23,018 posts)Hillary must be paying the bills late again, like when she was paying Mark Penn late.
Her campaign started falling apart right around the same time (when it was discovered that Penn was negotiating the Columbia Free Trade Agreement for Bush).
