Wacko (R) sues Pete DeFazio for telling the truth

Art Robinson, the wacky Republican is running against our member of Congress Pete DeFazio again this year. It's been a strange campaign, with the challenger refusing to debate the incumbent DeFazio unless the event is sponsored by the Tea Party. It seems the normal civic club, chamber of commerce sponsored debates that took place in 2010 were "not fair" and were "biased" in favor of DeFazio.

Well, it just got a bit more bizarre today when Robinson announced he was suing DeFazio because the Democrat's campaign literature and bill boards, using actual quotes from Robinson, are mean. “There’s been tremendous damage to my reputation,” he said. “He’s making everybody in this state think my family is crazy."

Well yes, yes it does.

Maybe the reason you never see any coverage about the race for Oregon’s 4th Congressional District is because everyone in the fourth estate thinks the outcome is a foregone conclusion. I mean Peter DeFazio has held the seat since 1987 and took 82 percent of the vote in his 2008 election.

Or maybe they feel Art Robinson’s pseudo-scientific and sometimes self-serving rhetoric makes him less than a viable candidate.

5. In 2008 there was no R candidate

Robinson came closer than anybody in 2010 but Peter still beat him by about 10% points.

3. I just drove the I5 up thru Robinson Country. His signs are INSANE.

Seriously, I started just flipping them off as I drove. Just irrational stuff, total lies. He comes off like some conspiracy theorist nutjob. Has stuff like "replace the 875 billions you stole from seniors and medicare!"
