Daily News Bin: Bernie Sanders is speaking at Vatican for 10 minutes during a coffee break

Poor Bernie! Nobody Wants him there.

Even as Bernie Sanders and various people in the Vatican publicly argue over how or whether he was invited to speak at a Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences meeting, the schedule for the event has been posted on the official Vatican website. Two things have become clear. One is that Pope Francis won’t be there, as he’s scheduled to be in Greece at the time. The other is that Sanders is an unwanted last-second addition who is only speaking for ten minutes of a coffee break.

Bernie Sanders is speaking at Vatican for 10 minutes during a coffee break, Pope won’t be there

Plus they seem to be pissed at him.

With Bernie Sanders in the midst of having his worst week ever, thanks to a horrendous editorial board interview followed by a cartoonish attack on his opponent that he was forced to immediately walk back, it appeared he finally got a bit of good news: he was able to announce that Pope Francis had invited him to the Vatican. But even this has gotten him into hot water, because it turns out Sanders tried to trick his way into the meeting, and Vatican officials are throwing a fit. Publicly.

Bernie Sanders tried to trick his way into Pope Francis invitation, and the Vatican is pissed

I read the article and visions of the National Enquirer came to mind.

The entire article is a farce.

There's even a picture of the Pope looking like he's being scolded, and a picture of BErnie next to the Pope, that looks like he's yelling at the Pope.

OMG...next it will be that Bernie is Bat Boy.

This is crazy.

This rag isn't worth shit. It is totally in the bag for Clinton. It is pathetic the lies, innuendo, and smears that passes for 'journalism' these days.

This also Bill Palmer outs himself as a Clinton shill almost a year ago. He hates the 'purity left', which is just code for the fact that he is a moderately social and economically conservative New Dem. And he and Kos are buds. Need I say more?!

In what the president of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences hosting the Vatican event is labeling a “monumental discourtesy,” she’s criticizing Bernie Sanders for trying to turn a non-political event into a political one by inserting his own presence. But now the office of the Pope says that Sanders was invited “not by the pope but by the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.” In other words, no one involved – neither the Pope nor the people running this Vatican event – can figure out who ‘invited’ Bernie Sanders or even if he has been invited. Did he simply invite himself and hope no one involved would have the guts to call him out for it?

Daily News Bin is a pro-Hillary site. No doubt they are spinning night and day to turn something wonderful into a horrifying nightmare.

Hilarious.

That first line about the president of the Pontifical Academy of Science....Um, she's been debunked and outed as a liar. Monsignor Sorondo has gone on record to say that he invited Bernie. He even sent over a copy of the invitation that was signed by Sorondo and the president of the Pontifical Academy of Science. Now, they're using her quotes that have been completely outted as false. Sorondo said about her, "It was not that way!"

Sorondo is the Chancellor of the Pontifically Acadmey of Science and he's "a close aid to the Pope" according to Reuters. She's been silent and in a hidey hole somewhere, since she was outted as a liar by one of the Pope's aids!

That's some good comedy right there. Crazy good.

I know this fact must really sting Hillarians since they find it of utmost import to post Hillary propaganda stories in order to attempt to discredit him. This Pope and Bernie have a lot in common and share many of the same moral values. Hillary not so much.

And didn't she also believe that "marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman" until quite recently?

Considering that and the fact that she kissed up to Rick Warren with glee it sounds like she could yuck it up with the pope just fine...

And the pope still snubbed her, go figure.

Sanders is flying to Rome on Trumps Jet with the Clooney's, where he has 10 minutes to squeeze in as many racist jokes as he can.
Being that Sanders moves on JP time(Jewish People) he will probably be there 3.2 seconds late and embarrass the nation which
will make the majority of Americans who hate Hillary transmogrify into people who frantically adore her.

53. Clinton Supporters Knock Sanders & Vatican
Wed Apr 13, 2016, 07:59 AM
Apr 2016

Why do so many of the Clinton supporters feel the need to knock the Vatican via Bernie? Do they expect Catholics to believe that the Vatican was tricked into having Bernie come to this important conference? With so many of these threads I'm beginning to wonder just who it is that you are attacking. Is it really Bernie or are you just using Bernie so you can attack the Vatican? After all the Vatican has made clear that they want him to attend. Do you not believe them? Why do you keep questioning them after they've already said that they want him there? This is truly bad form and not a very smart political move.

at least for me

I think it was an honor to be invited - even if it was requested.

It is just that so many supporters are having a hard time dealing with reality. Many here (1) insist the invitation came directly from the Pope even though the Vatican itself has stated otherwise, (2) that a meeting with the Pope is inevitable even though there is no indication one way or the other, and (3) have made his 10-minutes the highlight of the day - the "headliner" even though the time allotted and the placement of the time is not prime-time.
