What would it take for a Bernie follower to switch to Hillary?

Would he need to back away from his admiration for Castro?

Would he need to apologize for voting to topple Saddam in 1999?

Would he need to confess that he voted for war appropriations for Iraq and Afghanistan in 2001?

Would he need to admit that he argued against DOMA on states rights, not civil rights, grounds, meaning that states should be free to discriminate or not?

Would he need to be honest and admit that he voted to protect the anti-immigrant vigilante Minutemen?

Could he explain why he voted against the Brady bill 5x?

Could he explain why he believes gun manufacturers should have special privileges to avoid liability?

Would he need to release his tax returns?

Could he explain why he chose to be an independent rather than work to change the Democratic Party?

Could he explain why he was largely absent from the political scene from the mid-60s to the early 80s, when there was so much civil rights activism?

Would he need to apologize for saying, "When you’re white, you don’t know what it’s like to be living in a ghetto. You don’t know what it’s like to be poor."

Could he explain why he chose to flee from where the battles were being fought to go to an overwhelmingly white state?

Could he explain his support the for $1 trillion waste-of-money stealth bomber?

Would he need to explain why he gets relatively little support from the great civil rights, women's rights, and gay rights leaders and groups?

Would he need to explain why as a 30 year old he considered a man raping a woman a "typical fantasy" or why he thinks women fantasize about being "raped by 3 men simultaneously"?

Would he need to explain why he falsely takes credit for helping to write the Obamacare act, an act he rejects?

Would he need to learn that New York City stopped using subway tokens more than a decade ago?

There's probably more, but let's face it, up until now he really has not held the difficult posts that Hillary has held and primarily represented white liberals, so he had a pretty easy time sticking to his agenda.

But, really the point is that if we want to eat our own, we can. If we want to paint Bernie as dishonest, hawkish, incompetent, we can, just as too many Bernie supporters do to Hillary. The fact is Bernie and Hillary are not that far apart, except in the rhetoric of their supporters.

Those things alone mean I am never switching, unless there absolutely positively is no other choice.

give back the bundled money, stop spending so many hours with lobbyists, dis-associate with war criminals like Kissinger and Bush, learn a little bit about the environment. drink tap water. Come up with a plan to break up the banks, decide H1B visas is another way to reduce tech salaries in the US and support fewer and carefully monitored ones. and so on.

could she do it = probably not, will she do it - no way Jose. Look I lost my job to an H1B visa person what do you think I think of her call for more to be allowed in -= more people to lose their jobs.

Short of that, yeah--as has already been noted--lobotomy.

is by smearing Sanders full-time, non-stop, and hope something will stick. They absiolutely refuse to believe that our preference for Sanders has nothing to do with some concept of perfection (he is not perfect, he is just good), but rather with Clinton being evil. She may be the lesser of the two evils, but the lesser is still evil.

What would it take? At this point: many of us are beyond redemption. As long as Sanders is an option, we will refuse to vote for any kind of evil, the lesser and the greater alike.

And turns into basically a clone of Bernie. That isn't going to happen though. So, after the conventions we will see who has the nomination on both sides. Then we will see if I have to switch. I doubt I will have to switch though so whatever.

It's just another hate post by the sweetness and light brigade.

Hillary Clinton should she be the nominee (and the math says she will be). The 75% understand what's at stake. They understand political realities. The 25% are diehard ideologues, and no one is ever good enough for them. But 75% is really good, and we'll welcome them with open arms.

It would be more, but my wants are modest, although the need for cash is desperate.

Yes, I'll feel like a 'whore', but like the old joke goes, everybody is:
"We've already established what you are; now we're just haggling over the price."

For that amount, I'll make a post on DU documenting my switch to Hillary!
(BUT, nothing else! I still have some standards... which would require a LOT more.)
