2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forum"Sanders has disclosed the least of any remaining candidate except Trump"
Surprisingly, at least to some, the answer is not his but her: Hillary Rodham Clinton. Often described as secretive, evasive and even untrustworthy, only Clinton so far has fulfilled the most basic expectation of financial transparency for an American presidential candidate.
Last summer, the Democratic front-runner disclosed all the federal income tax returns that she and her husband Bill have filed dating back to 2000. (As everyone knows, the former secretary of state has also disgorged tens of thousands of emails and far exceeded federal requirements for disclosure by the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, which has long posted a comprehensive annual list of its donors.)
....
And not even Bernie Sanders, the insurgent populist who has made tax fairness, financial reform and personal probity so central to his campaign. Like Cruz and Kasich, Sanders has only coughed up the first two pages of a Form 1040; unlike either of them, he has released those pages for only a single year, 2014. So far, in fact, Sanders has disclosed the least of any remaining candidate except Trump.

(20,709 posts)You see Bernie misplaced his tax returns. Maybe they're under the sofa, or they accidentally got filed with those creepy essays that he wrote a long time ago. Give him a few more months, I'm sure he can find them somehow.
By the way, did I mention that this guy wants to run the most powerful nation in the world?

And not just "she can get things done."
That is not a policy.
