On Monday, presidential candidate Bernie Sanders stopped by CWA 1122 Cheektowaga to speak with workers and, in a speech at the University of Buffalo, he cited the potential work stoppage. "Over the years Verizon has made billions of dollars in profit, but in a given year has not paid a nickel in taxes," Sanders told the crowd.

Bernie made specific mention of supporting them as an example of fair wages. IIRC the news noted he also visited one of their local electrician's union halls.
