(3,660 posts)And honestly, her positions are not that cut and dried - she weasels through most of them, and blatantly lies enough to doubt any good ones - since she lied about opposing the Colombia Free Trade Agreement and then secretly lobbied for it.

(24,010 posts)...while Sanders has sky high trustworthy numbers, in all polls over the last 4 to 5 months. Also, Sanders has been amazingly consistent in his positions on major issues for many decades, while Clinton is a notorious flip-flopper--on trade agreements, pipe lines, gay marriage (not on the list but Sanders supported the right years before Clinton), private prisons, Iraq War and more.
So the question on the Clinton list is: How firm is her position?
I'm convinced she will reverse her opposition to TPP the day she is sworn in, if she makes it to the White House again.
The same with "Citizens United." That Supremely Bad Court decision to flood U.S. elections with unaccountable billions of dollars was made to order for Clinton's sort of politics, i.e., service to the uber rich. She is NOT going to put up any kind of fight to reverse it.
The same on private prisons. She and Bill basically created the private prison industry--one of the larger scandals in our country--and are benefiting from private prison donations.
FRAKKING: Another issue not on the list, but an extremely important one. Sanders opposes it without reservations; cites the proven threat to water sources and human health, and excessive methane release into the atmosphere as our planet goes down for the count. Clinton waffles: well, maybe in this case but not in that case if it can be proven to be harmful. She'll support it everywhere. She helped export this planet-ruining industry to other countries, as Sec of State.
Minimum wage: Clinton's position is laughable, not only because New York and California have already established a $15/hr minimum wage, but because she and Bill helped export millions of U.S. jobs to cheap labor markets abroad with wages as low as $3 A DAY, and slave labor working conditions. She's going to support U.S. workers? Ha-ha-ha.
