Clinton Donor CONFIRMS Use Of White-Noise Machine At Secretive High $$ Colorado Fundraiser!

http://gawker.com/clinton-donor-confirms-presence-of-static-noise-machine-1770511652

from the link:

Last week, a local Denver journalist named Stan Bush reported that Hillary Clinton’s campaign appeared to be using a hidden static noise machine to prevent reporters and other passerby from hearing the candidate’s stump speech at an outdoor fundraiser held at the private residence of Colorado’s governor, John Hickenlooper. The general allegation hung in odd kind of limbo, however, since Bush managed to record the machine’s (inherently indiscriminate) sound but was unable to photograph the actual device, while Clinton’s press shop ignored reporters’ attempts to confirm the machine’s existence. Meanwhile, the underlying question went unanswered: Why was Clinton using a static noise machine in the first place?

differences and "read" very much like some of the spurious commentaries from Brietbart and the Daily Caller.

And I didn't jump in here on Day 1 and post hundreds of comments. My first four years here I had something like 33 posts.

Your "Bernie or Bust" comments are not the language of someone who supports the TOS here.

Further, your ugly, appearance based snark about SECSTATE Cllnton is the OPPOSITE of "liberal" or even "progressive," and reads more like the shit I see coming from the right.

These are YOUR words that cause me to hold this view--so stop acting like you're being victimized. If you don't want to be taken as someone who doesn't have the goals of DU at heart -- to elect more Democrats and fewer Republicans to public office -- then you should stop saying such ugly, sexist shit about one of our primary candidates, and stop sounding like the right wing, who routinely use appearance-based insults against Clinton.

Sorry if that troubles you. I don't think it should be all that hard to stick to the TOS. Not sure why you find it so challenging but that's not my problem.

People can support whosoever they'd like....but using appearance based slurs is NOT ON HERE, and you know it. You'd be the first to jump on the alert button like it was the last chocolate chip cookie if anyone dared say anything mean about Bernie's appearance.

Speaking of "Now go report me" we know full well that is YOUR wheelhouse, too. And as for being a jerk, well, I am sure you're well familiar with how to play that game, too.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=1723058

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Calling a poster out with a personal attack violates TOS. Calls the person out for being here "less than a month" and attacks their post count. Then, accuses the person of being a paid shill with the "when your work is done" comment. Attacking opinions is fine, but not personal attacks.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Apr 13, 2016, 02:12 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I know technically you can make a case for a TOS violation here but the fact is GeorgiaPeanuts is the most obvious troll on this board in a long time and some (like MADem, apparently) are getting a little antsy and irritated waiting for his pizza to get here.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: What is this I don't even
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The truth hurts. Leave.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Not much sweetness and light from this poster it seems. Nasty accusations. Please hide.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

See?

I want a Democratic Senate, and a Democratic House.

I put the goals of the party of which I'm a member over partisan, petty, childish, whiney bullshit. Pity you can't seem to manage that.

I don't think advertising our tactics to those who would do us harm is a smart move--obviously you do. You think you have a "right" to a pound of flesh, 24-7. Pro tip: You don't. You want to know what goes on at private events like that? Pony up the dough, and off you go.

Weaver dismissed the $7,500 as nothing compared to the $44.1 million he said Clinton has received from donors tied to the financial industry over her entire career. “The truth of the money of the matter is that $7,500 is about equal to 30 seconds of her speech to eBay,” Weaver said of the reported $315,000 Clinton made on a speech to the online auction giant last year.

go to "politicians who are actively trying to beat him at this point...."

The DNC asked him--and HE AGREED, over half a year ago--to appear at fundraising parties, of the sort that you saw in the big Noise Machine Kerfluffle. He MADE THE PROMISE.

Here's how it works--he flies in. He eats a fancy schmancy dinner. He gets up with a mike (and a noise machine, if he is smart) and he tells these donors how important they are, and gives them a little anecdotal love, a cutesy personal story, something that they won't hear on the news, and then he launches into a stump about "How we're going to beat those Republicans," playing the audience up as key players in this fight, anything to make them feel special.

From these donors, Sanders can peel off $2700 per attendee, with the balance of up to slightly over 30K at the max going to the party to support downticket dems. Then, he poses for pictures, he does a little gripping/grinning, he has a brief private chat (with more "inside baseball&quot for the Silverbacks in the crowd (the ones giving the big dough) and then he hops into his limo, is whisked to the airport, he boards a plane and he goes where he needs to go.

That effort is all about getting US --and that is all of US, here, every damn one of US who doesn't want to see the GOP running shit any more -- a better Congress. It may not be the "best" Congress ever, but purity is pointless, and we need to get a BETTER Congress seated if we want to stop the gridlock and get anything done.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Sanders needs to do his part, though, in the construction effort, and he has not yet done that even though he made the PROMISE.

These are very rich, very stressed out people, and having the potential-next-president of the United States give you a guided sleep meditation, complete with white noise, is priceless.

I'd say Hickenlooper's people must have set it up to help keep sound (Hillary's amplified voice) from bothering his neighbors.

Same reason she ran a private email server. She likes to say one thing to one audience, and another thing to the people. Got to keep those messages separate.

The email server gave her the ability to privately select which emails would be handed over to any FOIA requests. The noise machine keeps her words to the 1% from reaching the ears of the 99%.

Where are the transcripts already???

Including Sanders. If she was saying some harsh things about Sanders, I'm guessing you all would not want to hear them.

And for someone who was allegedly there, he has a pretty vague recollection of Clinton's speech, but can recall in vivid detail what the sound machine looked like?

I'll file this under "Bullshit" until somebody who can prove they were physically there goes on the record... Until then, it's just Dudebro agitprop.
