If this is actually true, how would one distinguish between a Sanders Democrat and a Hillary Democrat?
Is there something on a voter's registration form that indicates they support Bernie over Hillary? I would assume that the nefarious folks who are changing voter registration forms know how to distinguish between Hillary Democrats and Bernie Democrats.
The conspiracy theory isn't quite clear on this so I'm looking for some answers.
Thank you in advance.

And as you said, how would anyone know who was a Bernie supporter and who was a Hillary supporter.

(50,943 posts)They would need to get into the NY voter registration files too. Those files are user and time stamped.
If there was any tampering it would not be secret long. Even if only one or two trusted people managed to make the changes it would not go unnoticed by anyone else that maintains the databases. And not all of them providing support for NY's voter registration files would be Democrats or support Clinton.
I also question whether Bernie supporters are having their voter registration changed. It is most likely they didn't change it soon enough to qualify for the primary. New York requires whatever a voter's registration is at the deadline (about Oct 9, 2015) will be used to determine eligibility for a primary.

(13,424 posts)There has been no investigation performed to see what is the cause of this issue. Was it a clerical error? Was it a screw-up by a database admin? Did the voter simply forget? Nor has there been any better investigation into how widespread (or truthful) this 50% claim is. Was it 50% of 2 people or 2,000 people?
People refuse to ask or seek answers to these very basic questions. I still ad, they are stampeding to the conspiracy train as the only possible explanation is malicious intent to harm one candidate or another. Maybe I should not be amused by the predictable nature of the stampede. Maybe I should be appalled by the lack of critical thinking among the American populace.
