He's so natural with the kids--he reminds me of the better teachers in my kids' elementary school. He doesn't talk down to them, keeps them in line without being strict, and really responds to them as people who just happen to be smaller and younger.

11. I'm speechless

I've loved Bernie as a senator for years, but to see that he's just as genuine and sincere and present with a classroom full of kids as he is when he speaks to thousands of people at rallies or to millions of people on TV... oh, it just gladdens my heart.

I can understand how Hillary's supporters might prefer her and feel strongly about her intelligence, capability, character, and commitment to the greater good, but after seeing this I am truly at a loss to understand why so many of them seem to actively dislike Bernie. Everything he's done or said in public life has been in the name of justice and equality. What's not to like? Oh well.

I would have been proud to be his supporter without seeing what he was like decades ago, but I'm really touched to watch these videos and have proof (rather than just a hope that it was for real) that he means what he has been saying from the bottom of his heart. And I also love that he was addressing kids this way, so earnestly and naturally. It's really sweet.
