"I supported the fight for 15 since the beginning." "It happens to be true"

This did not sit well with the audience, "Setting the goal to get to $12 is the way to go" she said shortly after.

When did she first support the Fight for $15? Was it ever? Was it from the beginning?

I think this one might be a lie.

Federal minimum is 12- the fight for 15 has been in select areas. bettyellen Apr 2016 #1
I believe it started as a fast-food workers' effort in cities large and small. CentralCoaster Apr 2016 #2

Not limited to a few cities.

http://fightfor15.org/april14/

In San Diego, 11 marchers were arrested for blocking an intersection in the blue-collar neighborhood of City Heights. They were cited for unlawful assembly and released.

Ralllies and sit-ins occurred outside McDonald's restaurants across the country, including Rockford, Ill.; Hartford, Conn.; Boston; Philadelphia; Atlanta; and Miami. Elsewhere, 19 fast-food workers were arrested in New York; 42 in Detroit; 23 in Chicago; 11 in Little Rock, Ark.; and 10 in Las Vegas.

At some point it seems to have morphed into all jobs, all cities, nationwide, since really it would take at least that number to make up for changes in the costs of things, everywhere, not just SF and NYC.

It's an accurate portrayal of her position, it's not popular on DU... But it is what it is.
