1. The republican party has given up being a responsible poltical party (long ago)

they now are ok with playing politics with our economy (such as in the debt crisis) and now in a crass attempt to gain some votes one GOP candidate says those soldiers 'are just kids' and defends them. Well if they are 'just kids', Governor, why are they over there fighting a war? and by urinating on corpses they are hurting the US image abroad and endangering their fellow troops. Perry is just plain dumb.

2. Maybe two or three. S.C. is racist (in general), but not that bad.

My wife taught there 20+ years ago. It was disgusting, but I doubt anyone, no matter how racist, would approve of that anymore than they approved of our own being burned and strung up on a bridge. It just isn't right, regardless of your views or lack of them on religion. Some things are just intuitive.
