NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- U.S. economic growth picked up in the third quarter, boosted by stronger consumer spending, an improving housing sector and increased defense spending.
Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of the nation's economic health, grew at an annual rate of 2% from July to September, the Commerce Department said Friday, faster than the 1.3% rate in the second quarter.

see Romney under Obama things have picked up.

The economy is going to be much stronger in the next four years regardless of who is President.

But if it's Romney, he'll come in and say, "See? I was right!" And everyone will think he's a genius.

If Obama wins, I think the Dems will be in good shape for 2016, especially if Hillary runs, which I think she will. If Romney wins, he's probably guaranteed a second term.
