In one precinct the actual tally was 56.7% in Bernie's favor. After count was manipulated by machine he lost with 47.5% of vote. A whopping 18.4% swing. (video)
It gets interesting around the 24 minute mark. video:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
In one example noted during video, 21 Bernie votes were erased and 49 Hillary votes added to audit tally in order to match machine count. In this one precinct, this change from the actual results accounted for nearly 20% of overall votes cast. The actual tally was 56.7% in Bernie's favor. After count was manipulated by machine he lost with 47.5% of vote. A whopping 18.4% swing.

The 800 pound gorilla in the room, the question has to be, Will the 'winner' of this mess, under these disgusting conditions, be considered legitimate ?
OR will they be considered another GW Bush?
I guess it won't matter to some, as long as 'we' win.

Do you know for a fact it was " manipulation" , ie cheating? How do you know?
So, you feel it is not possible they were just correcting original error?

(8,168 posts)The observers thought a mistake was made, however, so I think they should immediately file a suit to determine what happened in that precinct.

(3,040 posts)To get rid of all voting machines. There are way too many 'irregularities' for us to keep using them.
Ferd Berfel
(3,687 posts)has never tried to get rid of them. They get to use them too

(3,687 posts)but I was thinking more along the line of forcing someone in to the Nom position who can't win.

(4,775 posts)It's pretty cynical, but it seems you can't be too cynical anymore. The machines can serve as another brake on populist insurgencies in the party primary. It does explain why our party has never seriously cared about the machines or their proprietary software.
Of course having a voting system with integrity (if you can accept that premise, it's getting very hard to) also would explain our party not going after the machines. But there's too much at stake for me to blindly accept this, we need accountability, powerful economic forces will do anything to protect their profits and their candidates.
Ferd Berfel
(3,687 posts)Having honest voting would be a wild card for the oligarchy that controls both parties. Can't have that.

(465 posts)People gather, count the paper ballots at long tables with observers from all parties monitoring.
They're usually done by 3 AM.
But there are plans to introduce electronic voting by 2020 so the elites can start stealing elections just like their US cousins do.
Else You Are Mad

For those interested, start viewing at about 24:30. I agree with the author of the DKos article, "Theres no way to know how egregious the errors in the machine count and their purported audit were without further investigation and research." I can't comment further, there's not enough evidence to suggest much of anything other than someone should have filed for a recount since it was stated that the 5% audit is not in itself to be used to change any results.
The audit checked out according to the officials, if it is felt that they did something wrong at the 5% audit, they should file a lawsuit.

(1,235 posts)You need to breath at least every two minutes otherwise you are in danger of brain damage (not hopeful the warning came in time) ... the 5% audit exposed a major swing in actual votes compared to machine counted votes.
I assume by 'the audit checked out', you mean the mistake was in your candidates favor, so what who gives a shit about disenfranchising a bunch of voters that don't vote the 'right way' anyway.

(11,785 posts)It's to re-check the sample and audit other samples to find out what the vote total actually was.

(8,168 posts)I am only relaying the fact that it the audit checked out and that there isn't substantiation for the claim that they fudged the results yet. I am certain an investigation will get to the bottom of this in time.
questionseverything
(9,658 posts)that is how hc "won" illinois
fudging results=falsifying results to install the corporate candidate
hopefully enough people see this tape to realize the chicago board of election is engaged in organized crime, they have falsified the required 5% audit so it is a state law they have violated
not to mention violating the sacred trust of the American people
Dem2
(8,168 posts)You can't just make shit up based on a meeting video that hasn't even substantiated the claims yet.
questionseverything
(9,658 posts)the 4 individuals who testified (people who use their real names not internet personas) have about 8 degrees between them and many more affidavits stating same
gentleman @ 1:17 mark says he has proof and i believe him
the way attorney scanlon ran the audit, instructing boe workers to hide the ballots from the observers so no hand counting could ac cure is more proof they were hiding something
anyone that thinks the blackbox voting system is something that can be relied upon is not using their head because no human being can oversee the count in the box
and when boe deliberately falsify results so the false output is accepted , they are treasonous
Dem2
(8,168 posts)this stupid conspiracy theory type thinking that if these people saw it, then it must be rampant everywhere. Let's let them verify this one instance before we take this to the next level, OK?
questionseverything
(9,658 posts)if we the people can not oversee every step of the election process, the election is illegitimate
people that cry ct because citizens expect to be able to see the entire process are undermining what is left of democracy
http://www.sweetremedy.tv/fatallyflawed/media/RTA_Fraud_Flyer_3_7_12.pdf
if has been going on for years, usually by an election insider
http://bradblog.com/?p=7875
the election activists shouldn't have to do the verifying, that is what the boe is PAID to do
but as the video explains, they are busy covering up for the inaccurate machines

What I find amazing is that in the US talking about Neo Liberalism is almost verbotten, but you have these discussions every where else. I wonder if that is because that is the nature of our foreign policy, regardless of what party is in power, and the receiving end of it is tired of it.

(13,133 posts)99% percent of them also never served in Military, are lawyers by trade and a whole lot of them never had job where they performed actual blue-collar labor, and mostly too, they have had titled paid positions in corporate America and hope to drawing even larger paychecks again from them again in the near future when they again, are not holding government titled positions.
Putting people in groupings is not really my thing but, essentially though, they are gangsters using the mechanisms of our government against the rest of the people. So what is there really left to do
