Lots of sophisticated gaslighting posts from camp Clinton since Tuesday. I guess we're just supposed to go tits-up.
What's next, Chiêu Hồi leaflets dropped by aircraft?

(150,536 posts)Why do you ask? The Democratic primary race is winding down, and Hillary Clinton is still leading with big numbers? Nothing creepy about that. The people have voted and are voting still. That's how it works. The candidate with the most pledged delegates becomes the nominee, and we work to get that nominee elected over whatever clown the Republican Party offers.
Seems like a normal presidential election year so far. The only thing creepy is the blobfish, Ted Cruz. Now he's creepy.

(55,745 posts)Like the Gulf of Tonkin, it's getting me down that no one remembers Eastasia.

Or that Ho Chi Minh served with the United States in the fight against Japan during World War II. The cartoon above tells the Vietnamese people how to help the downed U.S. airmen get to friends in China.
During the Eisenhower years, the USA, for some reason known but to Wall Street and the Dulles Brothers, sided with the French colonialists in their claim against the North.
But, goldongit, Bernie sure is toast now. And his ideas? Forgetaboutid.

(2,178 posts)..the Viet Minh were imposing taxes on them and the Boys were furious. Michelin paid-up and suffered only damage from US Forces.

(12,685 posts)It makes sense that our current political world would attract these personality types (considering some of the really mean political operatives out there). But then I've read that psychopathic people are also attracted to the sales and legal professions.

(15,731 posts)Actually they get along well with Hillary supporters. The entire group(s) meets face to face and only two others ever come to DU. They never get nasty with each other.
The concern about legal problems of the Clintons are universal among the Clinton-Sanders supporters as is the desire not to see elected the most odious Republicans running for office in our collected lifetimes. Of the two real life people (from about 40 total attending members) I know who come to DU , they come here to vent. People who call themselves "real Democrats" on DU need to go out into the world and meet some real life people with names and learn some social skills.

(166 posts)It took years to really get past a lot of it. I remember when I first realized that I had come from a toxic home and the best thing that I did was cut off contact with the crazier members of my family. One of them wasn't too happy about that so they spent the next two years cyber stalking me across message boards, reporting back all my posts to other members of my family.
So now that I'm free of a family that gaslit me, I join a message board that uses the same tactics? FML.
