Stuff to make both parties worry about Fla's early vote (I think more for THEM to worry about)

Article here

Why Republicans should worry:

The Democratic spin: On the first day of Early Voting, Democrats opened up a 37,734 lead in Early Vote turnout.

***In Broward County, on the first day of Early Voting 18,902 Democrats voted, while 4,669 Independents turned out and just 4,223 Republicans turned out to Early Vote.

***In Miami-Dade County, 14,896 Democrats Early Voted while just 5,506 Republicans turned out to Early Vote.

*** In Orange County, 7,666 Democrats Early Voted versus just 3,226 Republicans.

***In Hillsborough County, on the other side of the I-4 Corridor and a key swing county, Democrats bested Republican turnout by nearly 5,000 votes. (Dems: 11,026, GOP: 6,344) In terms of total votes cast, Democrats also lead Republicans in this bellwether county by 8 percentage points. (Dems: 52,505, GOP: 43,467)

***In Leon County, where they had record turnout, 67% of voters who cast Early Votes were Democrats.

****Even in key Republican strongholds such as Lee County, where the GOP has a double-digit voter registration advantage, more Democrats Early Voted yesterday than Republicans. And in Seminole County, 675 more Democrats Early Voted than Republicans.

***Despite Mitt Romney having an Early Vote Rally just two blocks from an Early Voting site in Pensacola, Republicans only lead by 88 votes in very Republican Escambia County.

Follow the link for the numbers the Republicans like - interesting to note: they give the over/under percentages to the Republican section, but not the above. Which makes me wonder why?

Its a blog, so they have little blurb updates- here's something else interesting:

Winner of the week: Florida Democrats. They may not have a lot to celebrate in Florida in eight days, but so far Democrats have dramatically cut into Florida Republicans' traditional advantage on absentee ballots and their early vote numbers look strong.

Obama's leading in Florida based on his strength with women (54/45), African Americans (89/10), and voters under 30 (55/39).
