FEMA trending on Twitter, and by extension, Romney's opposition to it

Geez, has this bozo been right about ANYTHING while running as president?

Hurricane Sandy will not be good to Romney. The last thing people will remember about the campaign are all those state polls that came in favourable for Obama, so Romney has no chance to get his mojo back. All this talk about FEMA will also make people more aware of what the Romney-Ryan budget would do to essential government services. And lastly, President Obama will be in crisis manager mode while Romney and his hateful surrogates are forced to be reluctant cheerleaders.

Romney gave it his best shot, but his side got pummeled in 3 debates in a row, and they failed to elaborate any more on their vague "plans".

They've energized the hateful anti-Obama crowd, and that's good enough to make it a close race. But Romney/Ryan couldn't close it out with the sane people, and now, their loss is inevitable.

I think the answer is that he probably doesn't need to.

Romney's prior comments during the GOP primaries saying he would abolish FEMA are spreading very quickly, and many journalists have already written pieces about it and started asking the Romney Campaign whether Romney wants to address this issue.

But his surrogates and supporters have every right to make this an issue. Cutting FEMA amidst annual hurricane occurrences is akin to cutting national defense amidst yearly terrorist attacks.
