I'm starting to see a Gannett Corp. Pattern.

Today the Cincinnati Enquirer endorsed Mittens. Said that he will "stay true to himself."

Of course that is begging the question on twitter, WHO exactly IS Romey?

But it's starting to become very clear that the Gannett papers are pushing Romney, and like Des Moines Register, the Publisher (aka non-journalist) is making the final decision.

Also note that Cincy Enquirer's twitter feed reads like fox news "unemployment rampant in Ohio" and something fawning over their Repug governor. Gannett is being quite obvious, and it makes the DMR endorsement more clear.

I believe that. The only thing he stays true to is the enrichment of himself and other 1%-ers. Squinch Oct 2012 #4

Editors generally favor conservative politics too. I don't subscribe to any of their papers or online work, because it is difficult to read and logically, even harder to follow.

I am still reeling from the DM Register, as I live in Des Moines. Their endorsement of Romney makes no sense.

It doesn't reflect the nature of the Des Moines Register, it doesn't reflect the general stance of the Register opinion page. Republicans hate the Register and call it a liberal rag. Guess what??? It is a liberal paper. For sure.

Their endorsement was so hollow, and it ignored so many realities than any journalism intern would have addressed. This is a progressive state! We are one if the few states with gay marriage--and our liberal paper just endorsed Romney?

The truth is--the Register editorial board and opinion writers ARE progressive and the Register is progressive--which is a reflection of our state and its progressive people. But, like you said, Gannett owners have made the decision.

They do a disservice to Iowans, and all I have to say is--I have no interest in the DM Register if this is how they roll.
