Poll gives Kane big edge in state A.G. race

Kathleen Kane holds a 20-point lead in her bid to become the first woman and first Democrat to be elected Pennsylvania's attorney general, according to the latest Inquirer Pennsylvania Poll.

But with barely a week remaining before next Tuesday's vote, nearly half of those surveyed said neither Kane nor her Republican rival, David Freed, had made much of an impression yet.

I don't think we've ever had a women Gov in PA. Modrepub, you've been here since 2001 and that impresses me. I'm wondering if you've crossed over completely, or have gone Independent?

Naw, still registered Repub. Never had a woman gov in PA. Had Barbara Hafer run once but it wasn't to be; she's too moderate for the conservative wings (of both parties) in this state.

Voted for Paul in primaries, but what serious choice did I have? Thinking about Gary Johnson or Jill Stein but will probably vote for Obama. Last presidential candidate I liked, Paul Tsongas. As you can see I rarely find my self on the winning side. I've missed only one primary election since I started voting in 1985 (as a democrat). You have to be either a dem or repub to vote in the primaries in PA (why would you want to be independent and not be involved in choosing). I thank my high school civics teacher, Mr Bellis, for motivating me to vote all these years.
