Romney Surrogate Reassures Ohio Voters: Roe v. Wade Safe Under Romney

In the frenetic push to win all-important Ohio, Mitt Romney’s campaign is saying a lot of things to a lot of people. And on Monday, a top Romney surrogate told a group of Jewish voters in the Buckeye State that the landmark Supreme Court decision granting women the right to an abortion is in no danger of being overturned should Romney become president.

“President Bush was president eight years, Roe v. Wade wasn’t reversed. He had two Supreme Court picks, Roe v. Wade wasn’t reversed,” former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) told a Republican Jewish Coalition meeting in Beechwood, Ohio. “It’s not going to be reversed.”

Video of Coleman’s remarks, captured by Quinn Bowman of FeatureStoryNews:

This information must get out beyond the echo chamber. You simply know that there are republicans who are thisclose to voting third party. If they saw this, or knew about it, wouldn't they jump ship?

POTUS picks judges. Mitwit can't wave a magic wand but he can pick justices who will issue rulings on cases that come before them that will weaken or downright undo Roe.

Lying again.

Something that important needs to be heard by the man himself. But he never goes on record with anything important, and if he did, he'd just change it the next day, or even the same day.

DON'T BELIEVE ROMNEY! HE LIES LIKE OTHER PEOPLE BREATHE!

There are MANY republicans who will vote solely for the end of Roe V Wade. I have done a lot of phone banking in the last 10 years. Probably talked to thousands of people. I always called democrats. (Southern, Christian democrats in many cases.) YET...I can't tell you how often some would agree with everything I said and then tell me they were voting republican because of abortion.

The crazy evangelical churches tell people to vote on abortion.

So...I was actually worried when ads were constantly showing Romney saying he'd get rid of Roe V Wade because I knew he'd get a lot of people who may otherwise not vote for him

I think with this issue, going back and forth is going to screw Romney....because he's trying to please both sides on an issue that is very important to both sides.

Seeing all the ads where he clearly says he's getting rid of Roe V Wade, then a surrogate comes out and says "no"....who can trust him.
Liberals scared he'll get rid of it....conservatives scared he won't.
