RED CROSS efforts impeded by Rmoney

UPDATE: Mitt Romney continues to interfere with Hurricane Sandy response in an effort to use Sandy as an “opportunity” to bolster his presidential bona fides.

http://americablog.com/2012/10/hurricane-sandy-romney-relief-red-cross.html

Unfortunately, due to logistical constraints the Red Cross does not accept or solicit individual donations or collections of items. Items such as collected food, used clothing and shoes must be sorted, cleaned, repackaged and transported which impedes the valuable resources of money, time, and personnel.

This arrogant SOB is doing EXACTLY what the RED CROSS asked him not do. With all his money he uses a tragedy
to get on a stage and ask for people to help him package up goods to ship to...where? FEMA and The RED CROSS
are NOT set up to spend valuable time sorting cans of corn and packs of socks...he is such a dense, obtuse opportunist.

Why can't he just stay on the sideline and let the professionals do their job. He is making himself look like a complete fool.

And the American people will him as an opportunist for politicizing a tragedy. This strategy will definitely backfire on him.

he knows he is way behind in electoral votes. i knew he would do something desperate this week
to try to change the course of the election, i just didn't know he would be so shameless to
take advantage of a tragic event.

i believe the romney campaign is coming off the rails as we speak. look for ryan to head to WI
soon to try to save himself in his senate race.

http://www.redcross.org/news/article/Sandy-Forces-Cancellation-of-About-100-Blood-Drives

Sandy has forced the cancellation of over 100 blood drives in the area impacted by the storm.
Dems need to get out the word or organize blood drives at work or better yet anywhere Dems
are having large political gatherings.

“Patients will still need blood despite the weather,” said Dr. Richard Benjamin, chief medical officer of the Red Cross. “To ensure a sufficient national blood supply is available for those in need, both during and after the storm passes, it is critical that those in unaffected areas make an appointment to donate blood as soon as possible.”
