I saw Bill Clinton today

At a get out the vote rally at the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota. He gave a shorter version of his convention speech, with some modification for a university, and especially student, audience. The biggest applause line by far came when he mentioned that he had invested $3 billion in the human genome project during his presidency. I doubt there are many places where the human genome gets the biggest applause line.

Keith Ellison, Amy Kobuchar, Walter Mondale, Mark Dayton, and Betty McCullum also spoke. They talked about supporting Democratic races down ballot, but I was disappointed they never mentioned Jim Graves--Michelle Bachmann's opponent--who is running in a district just north of the Twin Cities. I fear we will be stuck with her for another two years and have our state continued to be sullied by her lunacy.
