2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTook a friend who's new to town to vote today in NC. She'd never voted early before.
She's still not familiar with all the streets around town and where stuff is located. I encouraged her to vote early to avoid lines on Election Day and she looked a little tenuous so I said, "I'll just go with you and we can grab lunch after you vote early."
I drove and showed her where to go in. There wasn't a long wait either. She was happy to vote for Obama and a straight Democratic ticket and she got a "I Voted" sticker.

Frankly I intentionally chose a whiter, older more conservative neighborhood that had an early voting station because I figured the wait would be less because I think the enthusiasm in that demographic isn't as strong (and I think I was correct).
She said she the ballot machine said she was number 13,807 at this place.
