Just curious, seeing Obama tv ads and now Romney ads in Indiana...

Is that a really good sign for us? Or are they just running national ads everywhere?

I've been seeing Obama's ads for a while now and just saw my 1st R/R ad today. Btw, this is central indiana, not on Ohio or Michigan border viewing area.

Thanks in advance!

It's to help Mourdock probably Maximumnegro Oct 2012 #1
I think Mourdock is toast. This state loved Lugar, and plenty of R's are mad about it. faithfulcitizen Oct 2012 #5
The swing states have every minute of available ad time already bought alcibiades_mystery Oct 2012 #2
Thanks, that makes sense. faithfulcitizen Oct 2012 #3
But that doesn't explain why Obama would be buying in Indiana BlueStreak Oct 2012 #4
It does if you consider us a near long shot. We went blue in 2008. faithfulcitizen Oct 2012 #6

You're now seeing the spill-over: they have more money for ads than they can spend in actual contested states, period. So they're spending that now in near-longshot states, follows by long-longshot states.

fwiw, the Obama ads are the ones where he is speaking to the camera (GREAT!) ...the Romney one was actuallly a tea party pac, not his campaign. (No mention of Mourdock.)

1st time since JFK. People here are not enthusiastic about Romney and perhaps people in NW indiana consider Obama a native son? I dunno, but I like it!!!

or it could mean that both sides are interested in running up the overall vote tally. It would make sense either way, I suppose. I love the idea, though, that somehow both campaigns have a sense that Indiana is not entirely sold yet.

Or, again, yes, they have just run out of other places to place ads! My sister lives in Ohio and has not seen an ad that is not political in weeks.
