If someone reads Romney has lost and decides not to vote then that person is an idiot and could just as well drop a toaster in the bathtub before the election. So I have no intention of pretending to poop my pants in cowering fear just because some Dems either can't stand confidence or would somehow convert that confidence into, wait for it... COMPLACENCY! OR BOOGABOOGA KARL ROVE GONNA JUMP OUT AND GET YOU!

This election is no where close to in the bag. We can't win if we don't turn out every single vote. But if we work hard, we will win.

It's not over until the last vote is cast and counted. The media will have a hard time - not impossible - picking up the "Romney has momentum" story, and that's all the man had going for him at this point. GOTV everywhere you can!

The only way Romney will win is if he and the thugs steal the election. They will try this, I guarantee. The vote for Obama has to be so overwhelming and undeniable, it is absolutely indisputable It is not morally or ethically right that this is the way it is, but it is what we need to do. So please, do everything you can to achieve this goal!

And then maybe we can get around to more broadly legally challenging voter suppression after we win, which I firmly believe we will!

In the 1997 British General Election, even though he was FAR ahead in the polls throughout the campaign and was widely believed to be on his way to a landslide victory, Tony Blair repeatedly told his supporters, "DO NOT GET COMPLACENT."

He was absolutely right.

I get so tired of seeing predictions that the election is over and that Romney is done.

It ain't over until a President is declared elected.

There is still some very good polling out there for Romney which shows him with a shot and we still don't know the effect of possible electoral theft, voter suppression or some of the effects of the Hurricane.

There's a whole week left.

So don't try and postulate some kind of hypotheses as to how Romney still has a shot. He doesn't. And the race HAS been over for a while. You refuse to acknowledge the campaign's statements which have been consistent since August. Remarkably so.

And now you're on the election theft train?

There's a whole week left? That is so daft a statement that I still have to think you're a troll.

And as much as I like Nate, he doesn't know everything and said himself yesterday Romney has a shot at winning.

Saying the race is over and has been over for a while when the majority of the country hasn't voted yet is premature.

And calling someone a troll because they object to you calling the election over is not acceptable.

If you don't fall in line it's because you refuse to pay attention. When this election is over I intend to get ALL the campaign statements together in one post so people can see the degree to which they have been TELLING YOU the true state of the race for months. But a lot of Dems refuse to read them or just don't seek them out instead. Instead people pretend they are ignoring the MSM and GOP polls but then come wailing when the news is not good.

A lot of Dems clearly LIKE being scared, feeling helpless, and insecure. It's the abused person syndrome where they've gotten so used to it because of 2000 and 2004 that they make excuses for not believing the good news and for not connecting the dots.

Romney has lost the election. Deal with it. There is no scenario. NONE. ZERO. NADA. by which he can win with just 7 days to go. NONE. NO OHIO. NO NV. And that's just for starters. And if you still doubt Obama can take OH after being tied 4 times out of 18 polls and leading the rest over just 2 wks then you are about as informed as an undecided voter.

Romney's lost. Man up.

This election isn't over 'til it's over. This election IS winnable, but only if we fight hard to win it. I see no reason for progressives and other Democrats to rest easy about the possible outcome of this election until after the last polls close and phone-bankers can finally stand down.

I hope to see a popular vote and electoral collage tidal wave washing any hope of a 2013 Mitt Romney inauguration out to sea by 10:00 PM on Election Day.
