A problem with convention delegates...
I saw this comment in the Jezebel story that was pretty interesting. Thoughts?
It does not even remotely surprise me that delegates didnt show up. My husband and I caucused for Sanders in our state; the first time wed ever gone to a caucus. Sanders won our state, and delegates were selected at the caucus. Neither of us volunteered to be delegates. We didnt put our names in to be delegates, and we expressed ZERO interest in serving that way. (Props to anyone who wants to do it - its just not for us.)
A couple of weeks later, my husband got an email congratulating him on being a delegate. What. He emailed back saying he wasnt and we figured oh well, clerical error. Then a few days later I got an email saying I was a delegate. I emailed them saying I was not a delegate, I didnt want to be a delegate, and I had never volunteered. They responded go to our website.
When we heard that NV delegates hadnt shown up, my husband and I looked at each other and said Well, we sure know why that happened.
