Related: About this forumRon Paul supports the death penalty for drug offenses.........
THAT'S your agitational answer to any left leaning person who's considering supporting Paul based solely on his supposed stance on drugs.
Worker's Power is doing an article on Paul and I read the undedited draft this morning and this is one of the things that stood out in the article. Paul's supposed anti drug law stance is based SOLELY on his support of "State's Rights" in the 10th Amendment. That means that if Mississippi, Tennessee, or for that matter, California passed a law mandating the death penalty for marijuana possession, Paul would support it. Ergo, the above statement is JUST AS TRUE as any statement that says he supports "legalization" of drugs.

It's a pretty darn good article. It also delves into his fascist background and links to the American Nazi Party and other related groups.

(52,162 posts)I think that a flat tax is a horrible idea but if a state wished to change to one it would surely have every right to do so. I don't particularly cotton to his interpretation of the 10th amendment but to say he favors every change he says a state has a right to enact is unfair.
