I read somewhere that this song ticked off Joe DiMaggio and he was going to sue over unauthorized use of his name or sue for royalties or some such. THen someone sat him down and explained to him that the song held him up as one of America's iconic heroes; and, luckily for Simon and Garfunckel, that placated Joe to the D-i.
