What does it say about the Republican Party that they stand behind a crazy person as their nominee?

It's becoming more clear every day that Donald Trump is not a stable person. He has exhibited personal qualities that are despised by decent people.

Yet, he was endorsed by Paul Ryan, the Speaker of the House, yesterday. The day before, he was endorsed by Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader. Do they have any other choice than to support the person that the people in their Party has voted for?

What does it say about their judgement? Should they be in charge of any branch of government? Do they really think that they can dictate to Donald Trump what they want done and that they can control him? Which is more insane?

Should there be any political punishment for a Party that exposes our country to the inherent dangers of a leader such as Donald Trump? Are they not accessories to the crime?

that Trump says what other Republicans believe but are afraid to say.

Frankly, he embodies the worst of that party.

Punish women who have abortions.

It's not that they just nominated a crazy person. Trump is a perfect representative for them and is saying nothing they haven't been for decades.

The GOP has played on people's most base fears; 911, the Birther/Muslim crap, and homophobia to sucker people into voting against their best economic interests.

Then came Donald Trump. They will "support" Trump, but it will mostly be lip service, as they expend most of their energy on Congressional races.

Guess Karl Rove isn't such a genius afterall. They will reap what they've sown.

Trump does not give a F what they want/think. And if given the reign and power of the WH, America well might see its darkest days ahead. It cements in my mind my feeling that republicans are a very dangerous force in life. Trump exemplifies the core values of republicans.
