Related: About this forumAmazing how if you believe in a government for the people they try to paint you as a radical.
But, that really tells you something about the people making that accusation.

(19,808 posts)under DEMOCRAT PARTY rules and regulations and agree to a process, you need to STICK to that.
I dont believe Sanders ( or Hillary) are radicals.
Trump is the radical and he needs to be the overwhelming concern to fair
minded individuals who vote.

(12,685 posts)Now, we have Democrats running from that label...
Speaking at a recent closed door fundraiser, Vice President Joe Biden, whos weighing whether to mount a third presidential bid, turned his attention not to dominant frontrunner Hillary Clinton, but to Bernie Sanders, the Vermont senator whos currently Clintons top challenger. Biden admitted that he believed Sanders was doing a helluva job on the campaign trail, but he also told the well-heeled crowd his and Sanders worldviews arent identical.
I am not a populist. But Bernie Sanders, hes doing a helluva job, Biden told wealthy Miami-area Democratic donors yesterday, according to Politicos Marc Caputo.

But that really tells you something about the people making that accusation.

(51,076 posts)better than tRump I agree but how would she be a better President than say Bernie Sanders. A man who for all intents and purposes has a good head on his shoulder. Who is the same day in and day out, a person who doesn't need group think to tell him where to direct his energy
Its her turn is hardly an argument to be made for Hilliary that I will base my vote on

(4,762 posts)is the power of self-delusion. As in saying a candidate who lost substantially in the popular vote as well as delegates is the one who is "for the people."
This is a habit of both far right and far left extremists. DU is not representative of "the people" any more than RedState is. Most Americans are centrist.
My issue with Sanders now boils down to this: if you're so popular how come you ain't winning?
Yes I know all the excuses. But your churlish butthurt comes down to being willing to disenfranchise a significant majority of voting democrats.
And that is elitism, not populism.
You are not "the people." There are other people and they're Americans just as much as you are; yes including conservatives and republicans and even the rich. And the millions more who have voted for Clinton, including the traditional democratic base constituencies (all of them, including labor).
This is where I part ways with the "progressive" left.
