2016 Postmortem

AP then MSNBC calling it for Hillary seems similar to 2000 when a Bush family member working at Fox called it for GWB. The rest of our timid lemming like media sanctified that determination shortly after, and that was that.
What with this DNC being so "establishment" and all, with the power and strings the Establishment has for tools, does it not seem like such similar tactics are now being used by Hillary Dems? And doesn't the whole Dem primary have a distinct aroma of Karl Rove ethically dubious tactics?
Just wondering.
And I'm with Bernie forever win or lose. Hilary to me means more wars, passage of TPP and a White House crawling with Goldmann Sachs alum. I hope Hil appoints Lloyd Blankfein as Secretary of the Treasury and Jamie Diamon as Attorney General.
Or the staggering fear and loathing Hil generates in some of us will let Trump (or his replacement when he has an emotional break down, which could happen any minute now) become the next President of our Oligarchy?
Wanna bet?

(1,630 posts)Bush's official margin in Florida was by 537 votes.
Right now Hillary's lead stands at over 3,000,000.
If anything, the media has been incredibly generous, far too much so, with Sander's viability. You know why the corporate media did that? RATINGS and ADVERTISING DOLLARS.
By having Bernie appear viable and giving him airtime, by indulging his and his supporters delusions, the media created enough news to generate an audience. Every time you watched a show discussing it or clicked on an article, you fed the media/corporate industrial complex. They used every Sander's supporter to make money. They are using Trump and his supporters to make money. They use Hillary and her supporters the same way. They love a good horserace and scandal because it generates viewers and clicks.
The outcome of the election has been known for months. AP just chose to get a jump on the competition last night because the result is and has been inevitable.
