He is the only honorable politician that Ohio has. Especially, don't rub him up to Hill. The kiss of death for a good man. Pick someone with Clinton attributes. Someone who has nothing to lose. I realize these are all short sentences but my elasticity has been stretched to the breaking point. Sorry about that.

... considering Senator Brown has endorsed Secretary Clinton for president. I believe the senator is in a better position to decide what is best for him.

Senator Brown's comment:

“As Ohio’s working families continue to recover from the worst economic recession in our country’s history, we need a president who’s committed to growing our economy by lifting up the middle class,” said Brown, a leading voice for Wall Street regulation, in a statement.

“From opposing unfair trade deals to fighting for a fair financial system, Hillary Clinton has shown she puts working families first. She knows as president that her first job will be creating jobs for the middle class. I am proud to endorse her today because I know she will keep Ohio moving forward."

to your opinion. I never said that.

However, your response is typical of Sanders supporters. You malign a candidate that you do not like by decrying someone you respect is mentioned in connection with her, then choose to ignore that person has endorsed her.

My response was more than called for... as it points out the hypocrisy that Clinton supporters have had to deal with during this primary. We are also entitled to our opinion but when we exert ours we are called names. I don't 'shit' on anyone and your comment is disrespectful of my opinion.

Civility is the first sign of civilization. A message lost on many.

If your name represents your heritage we are closer than you think. I have to say, I'm disappointed. I did not decry anything. I simply said that Ohio needs Sharrod Brown. To the point, calling me a typical supporter of any candidate is demeaning. May your eyes open and your heart unharden to the idea that good people can have different ideas. That crushing someone for thinking differently is a fault on you not them.

Jesus suggested that we remove the log in our own eye before pointing out the speck in somebody else's. It's good advice.

I understand your point about Sherrod Brown, but why does your message have to be accompanied by mean, broad brush attacks on a whole group of people? I just don't understand that at all.

Frankly, it's hurtful and uncalled for to read "You people will $hit on anyone."

Presidents have to be capable of compromise, both within their own party and with the opposing party. Bernie's views are shared by a very, VERY small minority of citizens. Why should he be allowed to be in a position to govern the majority, when he has made it clear that he is deaf to all views and opinions that aren't aligned with his own? Presidents don't get to have their way very often, and they need to be able to keep the government functioning even when their will is thwarted. I do not believe that Sanders is capable of that. One of the things his followers crow the loudest about is that he would NEVER compromise his precious principles! And that is precisely why he will not and SHOULD not ever be near the Presidency. Compromising your principles is practically Line A of the job description.

Sanders needs to put on his Big Boy Pants and go back to Vermont, where he can be a shrill fringe extremist who accomplishes precisely nothing--again.

8. Sherrod Brown!

My first choice: Sherrod Brown. Strong progressive liberal leaning on the issues. Ohio Senator, and no President since JFK has been elected without Ohio's electoral votes. Probably the single most critical swing state in the GE yet again this cycle.

Charlie Christ - as an ex-governor of Florida he could really swing the other of the 2 most critical swing states. The main downside, his being an ex-Republican, no matter how much an exception he was to Republican politics, his addition to the ticket feeds into the already existing meme that Hillary is too centrist.

On the Bernie Sanders option, I think it would be a waste of his talent and drive to make him VPOTUS. My choice for him, were I Hillary, would be to tap him the Secretary of the Treasury since his greatest strength is fiscal issues. Let him loose to attack what he does best.

If we learned anything from the Obama years, it was that we need as strong a Democratic majority as possible in the Senate if we hope to accomplish anything. Picking away from the Senate to leave a thin Democratic majority is even too major a risk, given the ability of Republicans to filibuster any progress.

Let's focus on electing as many Democratic Senators as possible (start with Duckworth and Feingold to flip some seats!) and forget the VP pick. It's not even that important. It's a headline maker for a few weeks, but in the end, it's the strength of the candidate that matters, not the VP pick.

America is not a business and should not be run like a business.
The President and Vice President aren't our bosses.
(In fact, they don't even rate the first article of the Constitution.)
We are their bosses.

I'm skeptical that anyone accustomed to operating in an organization where transparency isn't mandated but making a profit is would be suitsbly prepared to lead a democratic republic.

Obviously, I'm extremely skeptical about Trump, but I'd also be wary of Cuban for similar reasons.

And I condemn those politicians tasked with working in the public interest who feel they have a right to hide official information from reasonable requests for oversight.
