NO COMPROMISE!
Yeah, right.
I'm right and you're wrong.
I'm right and you're an asshole.
You're an asshole for even thinking I'm wrong.
I'm right and you know I'm right.
I preferred Bernie.
What I got was Hillary.
OK, I'm disappointed.
But jeez, I'm not devastated.
She is eminently preferable to Thuh Donald.
Please don't give us that.
Please.

(149,560 posts)I am disappointed as well.
But Trump is..........unspeakably awful. No good would come from a presidency occupied by him.

(458 posts)not sure if this kind of appeal will do much, to be honest.

(2,331 posts)Grew up across the street from each other. He is Bernie or Bust. Keeps telling me to enjoy President Trump. Doesn't seem to appreciate the fact that he has to live with President Trump as well

(5,217 posts)supporting a weak candidate with a lot of baggage just because she is an insider.
So I guess, in a way, yes they are "just gonna screw" themselves.

(50,130 posts)...(saying nothing about HRC here) you give license for your principles to be denied again, and again, and again.
You might as well cut your vocal cords. Because they will never believe that we are serious about change if we give in now.
Additionally, millions of Millennials will be driven OUT of the community of voters if you tell them now that we didn't really mean to fight for their futures, that it was all for nothing.
The only options are NOT Trump or Clinton. And it is not the responsibility of Bernie supporters to bail out the DNC for bad decisions.

(25,023 posts)Trump will get serious push back and is inept enough to go bankrupt running casinos (a tall order considering that the house always wins), Clinton has the party machinery wrapped around her finger while not being someone who has proven through the years to at minimum that they can fuck up a wet dream.
If the contest is who will do the most damage given a blank check then I hear you, Clinton has some good intent and Trump seemingly is lacking there but that isn't how it works so to me the damage outcome isn't so far off, Clinton may even come out ahead in the destruction index because the Hammy Yam is a senseless ninny. I guess it depends if he is set up with a Darth Cheney to supervise him that has juice and can work around him.
Either way he won't have the Bush Crime Family working for him but they may well quietly side up with their fake sister in law and adopted brother.
