With a Democrat in the WH and at least a Democrat majority in the Senate, things can begin to change. Most notably being the make-up of the SCOTUS. After the 2020 census and challenges to gerrymandered congressional districts are worked out, the 2022 mid-terms will be the end of the GOP as it exists today.
