CNN recently broke the news that according to investigators working with the FBI regarding Hillary Clintons use of a private email server:
The FBI has not yet interviewed Clinton as part of its investigation. As CNN first reported, investigators have not found evidence to support criminal charges against Clinton and none are expected, but no final determination will be made until that interview has taken place.
The story, published this weekend, has been buried as more information emerges regarding the horrific terrorist attack in Orlando that left 50 people dead and 53 injured.

OK, so now that that's settled, I guess this forum is no longer needed

So sorry, Republicans (and Susan Sarandon), it looks as though there wont be any indictment. "

(13,877 posts)Note that this refers to the server issues....the issues that the Benghazi Hearings kind of stumbled on to.
I think that's been the idea since the beginning. Unethical, perhaps, paranoid and sneaky, covering up whatever, dissing Obama...but not criminal...as in jail. Notwithstanding all the huffy parade of Indictment Fairy gifs...they are getting more attractive, I must admit.
I don't think the concept of indictment came out until the Foundation "irregularities" were discovered. That will not go away. It's just a matter of when. Too many people are in the loop on that one. It's turned into a dare to Comey...does he dare?
Long time until November. The Republicans, in their disarray, might prefer to "let" her win and not have to be constantly vetting Trump's insanity. Then while the impeachment progresses, and nothing like "getting Hillary" and Impeachment v. 2 would unite them better, they regroup and watch the show.
I'm a lifelong Democrat and I expect to stay one, but the party is between a rock and a hard place and it pisses me off.
ETA: Must be psychic...Post #4 has a new one...a video, no less. Cute.

(68,556 posts)No doubt the foundation has already been scrutinised but that begs the question of why you want an investigation of a Democratic nominee. Why not attack Trump. I question your motivation in these matters.

(13,877 posts)Let me clearly state so you don't have to question. The FBI is not the VRWC...see, they stand for two different things. One is political...one is Federal...no comparison. I have a BIG problem with the Foundation and if no one can see that these tentacles produced with uncommonly large sums of money that reach around the globe have expectations, wink wink or flat out quid pro quo...then you're in The Bubble. Most of the country Is Definitely Not and can think independently.
BTW, these are the kinds of Their Own Actions that have made them targets for all these years. They are not Victims, FFS. The Bubble and Power is why they go no where. But The Foundation...may have jumped the shark there.

(11,175 posts)I've never heard of the FBI making an announcement like "We don't expect an indictment of ___ (fill in any name)." As soon as I saw the thread title, I was sure it was bogus. In fact, I was pretty confident it would be "sourced" to alleged insiders, all of them anonymous.

(11,197 posts)of course they don't expect, she was SOS after all so one would "expect" conformance with the law. This OP means exactly squat with regard to the likelihood of a formal indictment.

(7,299 posts)The FBI investigated the Fort Hood shooter before his attack, the Boston Marathon bomber before his attack and the Orlando shooter before his attack. In all three cases they discontinued their investigations and chose to apply their resources elsewhere. Aren't emails more important than dead Americans ? This author thinks that it's high time to investigate the FBI's performance.

Something very medieval about this...King/Queen of the Mountain watching from afar as the Peasants attempt to slay the enemy and defend them. That's why they don't get to the Monarch. S/He stays far enough out of the fray as self-protection. Because what would the Peasants in General do without a King/Queen to represent them and give their meaningless lives value.
