The Final Phase of our master plan has begun.

Ladies and gentlemen, the next president of the United States of America: Hillary Clinton

The first primary, was excited when my state had our primary, was excited when she obtained the required delegates, was excited when she obtained the majority of the pledged delegates, will be excited for the convention and GE, but nothing compared to the anticipated excitement of the inauguration of Hillary Clinton as president.

That is states without partisan voter registrations. You made quite an argument for closed primaries. However, you did not explain how that could be accomplished in the twenty-some states that do not register voters by political party.

Love your posts, but still waiting MM for an explanation of how closed primaries can accomplish anything but suppress voting in such states.

Open presidential primaries everywhere. Let everybody vote for the nominees. The only rational position to take.

As always, my best to you.

I live in MN, and you're right, there is no registration by party. In the caucus system, you have to sign in and declare that you support the DFL Party's goals and rules. In primaries, though, you just choose your own party affiliation at the polling place.

So, I don't have an answer. I also don't know if the new primary legislation that will take effect for the new 2020 presidential primary election will have a party limitation provision. I'll have to go look that one up.

The two are mutually exclusive. If there's no party registration the primary has to be an open one.

Thanks for the response.
