(42,641 posts)The Clinton Presidency growth was mainly a growth of speculative ventures, as well as growth in the carceral industry. Not even mentioning NAFTA and other assorted programs.
But yes, we can agree that GOP obstructionism increased tremendously and continued over the past eight years.

(36,423 posts)And the powers that be have already picked the candidate for the special election to fill his seat (a twice term-limited state congresswoman). A little birdie with the inside dope gleaned from the state Democratic convention told me this, but would not tell me WHAT position he will fill; he's got the bones to competently fill a number of positions.
