Sadly, this kind of homicidal violence has become unsurprising and even predictable to anyone who even casually pays attention to today’s 24/7 news cycle, leaving many people numb and apathetic (especially when it is gun violence). Even a slow news week can have an abundance of violence and tragedy in the age of cable news, social media and smartphones — whether it’s an Islamic terrorist shooting up a gay nightclub, a police officer killing an unarmed black man, or a lone gunman massacring police officers at a peaceful BLM protest. With smartphones there to capture it all and a media eager to sensationalize for ratings, violence seems more prevalent and real today than ever before.

And this may be affecting how people think about the world. According to various studies, for example, people of all political persuasions tend to become more conservative (or authoritarian) when they feel threatened, and more liberal when they feel safe and secure. The 2016 election has shown us that fear can be an extremely powerful motivator, and it probably secured Donald Trump the Republican nomination after a year of fear-mongering about “criminal” and “rapist” Mexican immigrants and extremist Muslims invading America.

He continued his rhetoric after Sunday’s tragedy in Baton Rouge:

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
President Obama just had a news conference, but he doesn't have a clue. Our country is a divided crime scene, and it will only get worse!

The man has the attention span of a tsetse fly and the intellectual depth of a puddle in the Sahara during August.
There is definitely something going on with him and his taxes folks, and some say it is huge. Devastating. Trump taxes not good. Sad.

I'm hearing from my people, because I have people, I mean everywhere I go, I have the best people the best women...most beautiful, just beautiful...like my daughter I mean, wow, if she weren't my daughter, I would totally leave my 3rd trophy wife; who is honestly, getting a little long in the tooth; have you seen her with the make up and the botox frozen face? Not good. Sad. Loser. I mean life throws age at her and what does she do? She goes to the make-up and botulism? Just really, really sad. Trump good though, I mean, I still have a good brain and lots of, lots of the best words and thinky-type moments in my brain. All the words really, the best, the best words. I need them too because, ya know, the women. I love the women almost as much as the blacks and the Jews. Look over there, where's my African-American? Over there? Wonderful. Wonderful.

If Rudy Giuliani was "Noun---Verb---9/11"; the Talking Yam is definitely "Blah...blah....LIE LIE LIE.....Blah....Blah....TRUMP....Blah".
