It looks like he and Kaine are on the short list?

(19,178 posts)He's a really short guy. I don't think they'll pick him because of how they would look beside each other.

Stavridis was officially chastised for poor supervision of his staff
Doubt she will pick him- It's going to be either Kaine, Vilsack, Perez or Becerra in my opinion-
I don't like that Kaine accepted expensive gifts causing ethics probe. Vilsack is loyal Clinton supporter but I don't like that he took farm subsidies and is so unrelentingly pro GMO/Monsanto/FactoryFarming and jumped the gun with Shirley Sherrod.
Don't know of any ethics problems or poor judgment regarding Perez or Becerra, but Becerra may not want the VP job and Dem leadership may not want him to leave Congress as he is doing great there and in line to succeed Pelosi whenever she steps down or retires.
The Florida events tomorrow indicate she will pick someone fluent in Spanish- Kaine, Perez, Becerra are all fluent speakers

(397 posts)"Becerra successfully pushed Bill Clinton to commute the sentence of Carlos Vignali, a cocaine trafficker serving a 15-year federal sentence, at the behest of Vignali's father, who donated nearly $14,000 to Becerra.
His disastrous 2001 campaign for mayor of Los Angeles (he ended up getting only 6 percent of the vote) drew criticism when it had a woman pose as LA County Supervisor Gloria Molina and make robocalls attacking Antonio Villaraigosa, a rival of Becerras who'd be elected mayor four years later. After the calls prompted an investigation, campaign staffers erased their copy of the message; Molina was furious."
