Ted Cruz has recieved a temporary promotion.

He was a creepy, slimy asshole.

Now he's a useful, creepy slimy asshole.

From the bottom of my sincere heart, Ted, thank you for yesterday doing something that we as liberals and Democrats could never have done on our own.

Now, exit stage right and never be seen again. Because you're still creeping us out.

I can't stand the man, but I was cheering for him for a few minutes.

He is still the most hated man in the senate and creepy as hell. He had a "moment", but everything Cruz does is staged.

How can ANYONE stand this creep? Even his voice makes my hair stand up and the bile rise in my throat.
My fear though, is that the ReThug idiots in Texas could elect someone else just as repulsive and evil.

I think he clearly sees the handwriting on the wall, made a calculated decision to not endorse but to also have his national speech. Unlike so many others at this utterly insane carny show, Cruz attacked President Obama and Hillary Clinton on - basically - a difference of policy. If he anything, he said they had a different belief system. He said religious rights "Christian, Jewish, Muslim;" right to live lives " gay or straight." He actually used the d word - diversity. Of course, tying it into states right. Called the family of Alton Sterling heroic, and the Charleston Emanuel Church. goes into a call to conscience, and no endorsement. Moves back to his opening - the little girl from his opening anecdote. Four years from now those boos by the lunatics in the audience will a badge of honor.

This was a brilliantly designed and dangerous speech. Four years fromnow watch out for a Cruz and Kasich ticket running on "the courage of their consciences." He and Kasich have beautifully positioned themselves for 2016. More than ever, the down ticket matters so the Democratic platform becomes a reality.

Cruz is the real terror.

Cruz is scarier than Trump in many ways, because he is very smart and manipulative. No impulsive outbursts or unscripted moments. He is looking at a bigger picture and he'll be back.

This is a very dangerous man.

To me, he always sounds petulant and nasally.

Of course, some pour deluded souls in our fine land still pretend that Reagan was The Great Communicator, rather than admitting that he sounded like the annoying uncle that no one talks to at the family reunion.

Watching her, I got the same strange sense of pathos/pity that I felt towards Sarah Palin at times. Just watching someone so unfailingly incompetent wither out in the public spotlight and exhibiting a cringeworthy display of embarrassment--you feel this pathetic pity towards an otherwise clearly unsympathetic person.

Ted Cruz just pulled his finger out of the hole in the dam. Add that to the Bush Co no show, the Kasich no show, Ryan's very public hesitancy and delays in endorsing..... Trump is in trouble.

Trump may tweet that it's no big deal.....but he's a consummate liar. It's a big deal, and many others will follow Ted's lead (many likely will vote very privately to avoid a public flogging).
