What bothers me most is that "conservatives" seem to have re-branded

And who is fooling who? If the Republicans gain office it will be with the intent of pulling the same stupid crap. This display of Hillary hate is a diversion.

... they didn't so much embrace "casino conservatism," but openly embrace nativism and racism. Throw in a little lip service to economic populism, and there you have Trumpism.

The two big "issues" as much as the dolts in this country will think along those lines, are immigration and trade.

Now, this immigration position is the extreme conservative position.

But, overnight, they have been framed to have flipped to the liberal position on trade and somehow have been given status as the party that will protect jobs merely because Trump is babbling about it.

Like the Rs in congress will go along with it.
