(6,716 posts)I attended her Atlantic City rally a couple of weeks ago and it was the same thing. I've gotten used to it though.
Congrats on your first rally! It is an experience like no other...you'll be walking on air when you leave!

(5,942 posts)What were you able to bring in with you? We were told I.D., one car key, and phone. And do they sell water at these events? Please Dear God say yes.

(6,716 posts)Normally water is provided. They dropped the ball at the AC rally with water. Wouldn't let anyone past security with their own drink, only to find out that there was no water being provided once on the other side. It was 90 degrees at high noon on the boardwalk...not a smart move!

If not, a trick I use is to put a 20, my ID and 1 credit card in my cell phone case. Keep that in your front pocket. Wear a pair of shorts with pockets. Sunscreen yourself before you leave your house or when you get there and leave the container in the car.
Lucky you. If I was home I would be tempted to do the 5 hr drive to the rally.

(9,148 posts)She is such a great mind & not intimidated. There are several positions she could fill where her skills would.be spot on perfect.
I cannot locate the article that talked about Warren giving up her Senate seat.
They explained it like this:
If Warren was chosen as VP she could give up her Senate seat and has already met with Joe Kennedy who is ready to step in as temporary Senate replacement and run for the Seat later on.
Saying that Joe Kennedy would be guaranteed to win that seat.
I cannot locate the source..grrr
Anyone happen to read this same piece?

(9,148 posts)What a fine intro this would be, the next step into his political career.
He whould be a perfect successor to Warren.
WOW!!
I am liking this a lot.
"US Rep. Joe Kennedy III is slated to speak on Monday at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren reached out to the fellow Democrat, who is also a former law school student of hers, about a speaking slot, Kennedy told reporters during a visit to the Massachusetts State House."

(9,148 posts)Warren's name is in circulation as a potential running mate for Clinton. Warren, a Cambridge Democrat, won the Senate seat after beating Republican incumbent Scott Brown, who is now a prominent Trump supporter.
Earlier this month, Kennedy said he would consider running for Warren's Senate seat if Warren joins Clinton on the ticket and wins the White House.

(5,942 posts)some kind of karma precognition thing - you know, born with traces of what's to come still lurking somewhere in the far, far recesses of one's brain. It hasn't been on the level of deja vu, but it's been a prevalent feeling for me from the beginning. Or, it's been THE PLAN.
misterhighwasted
(9,148 posts)Podesta, Huma, Hillary & all who thrive in the close knit circle that brought Hillary thru the darkest hell of the RW hate machine that came at her from all sides, to lead America in the bright light of the US Presidency.
This feat was no small matter & this is what we can expect from President Hillary Clinton.
She leaves nothing to chance. Takes nothing for granted.
She is a brilliant strategist & knows how to get from point A to point B successfully.
WOW..
Native
(5,942 posts)And you have expressed my feelings about Hillary to perfection. Thank you for that.

(9,148 posts)You & mcar get to see her in person & hear her speak.
And I believe this event will be so damn great since it kicks off the beginning of the Dem Convention next week & puts HRC front & center from here thru Nov.
What a memorable day!

(10,500 posts)I am sure that whoever she picks will be a good VP. We all have our favorites.
In the end, we need to pull together and defeat Trump. I am terrified of what the country would be like under his leadership.
Native
(5,942 posts)scared to death of a Trump presidency. That's like NEVER happened in my neck of the woods. I live around people who advocate for a return to debtor's prison and stockades. No shit.

(10,500 posts)Indianapolis and the suburbs of Salt Lake City are very different from the exurbs of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Detroit.
I also worry that Trump will make himself look reasonable tonight and people will decide to give him another chance.
That shameful press conference held by James Comey did incredible damage, just as it was designed to do.
