2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThey have ruined the run up
to the convention. It might be worse if the Bernie supporters act up tomorrow. I just hope they do not have more dirt to throw at us during the Fall months(October surprise). If DWS would just leave then maybe they would drop this. Seems like they will talk about this all day tomorrow because she is still there. This is so frustrating because I was looking forward to this week after that Republican hatefest.

(45,806 posts)Wouldn't be the first time CNN was wrong. Check out a bunch of other posts on DU. You'll find a lot of statements of DWS resigning and documentation to back it up.

(45,251 posts)I heard that a few hours ago. There may have been another report after that.
The timing of the release of these emails does suck as far as the convention, though. I wonder how long wikileaks has been sitting on them.

(24,396 posts)Yesterday's roll out of Tim Kaine was masterful. The email thing is not even a thing. The Ds wisely closed it down before it became a thing. The media is going to obsess over finding ways to take down the Ds because that's what they do.
Considering the things that have been thrown at Hillary - and by extension, the Ds - over the past three months, the email thing is a fart in the wind.
Tim Kaine did an excellent job tonight in the 60 Minutes piece putting the email thing to bed. Give our politicians a little credit. They are smarter than the media wags, and they actually think and act like informed human beings. The media - which is dirt stupid, let's just admit that - will no more be able to keep up with Hillary and Tim than they were successful in their dueling with Obama.
Take a chill pill and let the adults handle it.

(934 posts)One of the leaked emails was a response to Jake Tapper who was sniffing around for dirt on Republicans.
Yes, I know Tapper didn't do anything wrong, but let's demand his resignation anyway. Let's conduct a witch hunt and drive him out of his job. I would love to put the shoe on the other foot.

the Melania plagiarism thing is much worse and tainted the GOP since she was supposed to be one of the few positives about Trump.
