For the first time in my adult life I am ashamed of my country – Last night on display for the entire world to see, half of the nation elected the “king of the takers.”

Makers, be on notice!

So what does this mean going forward for America? No one can argue that it does not mean; 1) Higher taxes, 2) Increased debt, 3) Attacks on the 2nd amendment and 4) Weaker US power projection around the world.

The grown-ups simply didn’t outnumber the children last night and the children threw a temper tantrum and got their way – Let’s see how bad it is when it is time for them to pay taxes.

For those of us still alive in 20 years, we must remind these spoiled children that they voted for “redistribution of wealth” and when they are only seeing 50% of their take home pay, they will only have themselves to blame.

I am so thoroughly disgusted with this country this morning. Anyone who voted democrat is no countryman of mine. They are willful traitors or stupid animals. There are 2 Americas.

Last night defined who I’ll be going forward. My vote was outnumbered by an ill-informed voter. I shall NEVER again waste my time and vote. We are outnumbered...we have made the ‘turn’ and there is no going back. Minorities are breeding at an alarming rate...we can never outnumber the left. I am officially tuning out...no pride in America...it’s gone.

I am not going to put any money into the economy other than the bare essentials. I won't see any movies or other forms of entertainment. I won't buy any newpapers or magazines. I won't get on the tollway, but ride the service roads. I am not going to eat out.

What more can I do, here in Texas, to help strangle the money pipeline to the Feds?

6. There were already republicans who were refusing to spend money except for bare essentials

just because they didn't want the economy to improve. and those people will now be torturing
THEMSELVES for another four years because they are so wrapped up in their own hatred of
democrats. some of these people won't be able to stay out of the system much longer.
they will have to buy new cars, houses, tv's, etc. sooner or later. they will HAVE to participate
over the next four years. whether they like it or not, the economy is getting better and
will CONTINUE to get better over the next four years.

I expect by 2016, the unemployment rate will be around 6 - 6.5% which will be perfectly acceptable,
especially since we will be out of Afghanistan and more of our money will be going to schools and
infrastructure and paying down the debt.

....They are our federal welfare states. They suck more tax money from the federal government and other states that have real, good paying jobs and robust economies for middle class Americans and real business' that pay taxes. The south have their minimum wage, no benefit jobs at Walmarts, Micky D's , and mini marts. So the rest of us that actually pay into the system have to support your lazy Texa$$ a$$'s providing child care, emergency room visits and other basic social services that you're too cheap and fiscally incapable of providing to your own citizens.

The south's hollow, vapid redneck pride is so obvious to anyone that has actually been exposed to the rest of our civilized country, it just makes them look like the shallow, uneducated fools they really are.

You are our national, state welfare queens and I would love to take away your federal EBT cards.

Although as a Georgian, I am proud to say that my state is one of the few southern states that generally receives less federal money each year than we pay in federal taxes. (Source: Tax Foundation). But states like Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, West Virginia, and others are the biggest hypocrites when it comes to "less federal gov't." They scream about the heavy hand of "big" government, all the while their little hands are outstretched to Washington getting free money off the rest of us.

31. Funny thing that....

For several years now, I have been forced to live on just the barest of essentials thanks to the economy that W wrecked...thermostat set at 55 in Maine in winter, no frills, growing as much of my own food as I can, essential repairs postponed until I can afford them, hanging by a thread.

Until very recently.

Double good news on my farm yesterday!

First I got a call back from the company where I worked while in school. So a part time job offer is coming my way, training starts day after Thanksgiving weekend, with regular, steady hours. The rest will be filled in with per diem at the hospital for now

Second...well we all know the other good thing that happened yesterday!

Deficits are deferred future taxes. So if taxes go up, revenues go up, deficits go DOWN. Thought you'd figured that out by now. See, GWB lowered effected government revenues (taxes in 2001 & 2003) and what did the country get, huge deficits.

And if history repeats itself, the next four years will be even more secure, as Obama-Biden has made it abundantly clear, his number 1 priority is our safety. If you're in doubt, go interview OBL and ask him if thinks as you do; "weaker US power projection around the world."
