I Think I Know Why Trump Refuses To Change His Election Strategy

There is a lot of talk about narcissism and incompetence being the reason why he can be 15 points down in the polls, yet still refuse to make any changes. I agree that is the cause but I think there is something specific that is causing Trump to stick with his clearly dysfunctional (to put it mildly) operation. He talks a lot about the polls being completely wrong and that the election is being stolen from him. Some suggest this is him making excuses about why he is going to lose but I have a different proposition, what if he actually does believe that, 100%. And the reason why he believes that is because he is confusing a few hundred people showing up to a rally, cheering every crazy thing he says and showering him with praise and attention, as representative of the general population.

He has lived a very sheltered life. He got everything he wanted growing up and when he started his own businesses, he was always surrounded by yes men. That is actually something that people have said many times. He was always very insulated from criticism and refused to listen if people criticised him. He may have a campaign full of sycophants and otherwise delusional supporters that will never do anything to burst his narcissism bubble, but the real insulating factor in his campaign are those at his rallies. They tell him he is great and holler like trained seals whenever he says that Mexicans are stealing the tongues of white americans for their salsas or whatever. Those people are feeding into his narcissism. While the vast number of people think he is a scumbag, as well as the polls and reports showing that voters think he is a raging lunatic that should never be president, those aren't even on his radar. Because all Americans loves Donald Trump and the people at the rallies prove this, therefore, he is winning this election in a landslide.

Why change strategy when he his rallies prove that he is winning? There is no way he could be behind in the polls because everywhere he goes, people show up and wear his stupid hats and chant him name. And there is no way that his attacks on the Khan family or Judge Curiel have hurt him because they people at the rallies feel exactly the same way he does, and therefore, America agrees with him.

We are already getting to the "too little too late" point where if he suddenly realized that his entire campaign is burning to the ground and instantly starts seeking out people that can turn it around, it wouldn't really mater. However, if he realizes that (and that is a big if) I bet we are still a month or two off from that. And suddenly it will be the middle of October and he is going to realize how badly he fucked up.

Or more likely, he will be strutting around like a rooster, with supreme confidence in everything that he is doing, until the networks call the election for Clinton on November 8th. Then, I'm guessing, he'll be catatonic and we won't ever have to hear his voice again.

psychological breakdown. After a life of privilege and everyone kissing up to him, he is finding rejection. It will be great to see him get crushed with these polls and the election.

Rather than have some kind of nervous breakdown or becoming extremely depressed. I believe the worse he does, the more he will shut out the outside world and instead be lost in his own psychosis. He will be like Hitler in 1945, where he was planning out attacks on the Allies with German armies that didn't actually exist and planning to use superweapons against the Soviets that has never been invented.

Trump already seems to be creating evidence of Obama's shady evilness, in his own mind, as he keeps talking about videos from Iran that doesn't exist. Its just a matter of time before he drops Pence from the ticket but the zombie of Abraham Lincoln is going to become his VP instead.
