At 69, he can still carry on like the teen who was yanked out of prep school and delivered to Col. Dobias, the take-no-shit instructor at the military academy. After I met Ivanka and praised her to her father, he said, “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father . . . ”

I can't help but ask why keep posting the pictures and links that show her being exploited? Isn't there a revictimizing occurring?

Can't we be on the side of women and girls in this stance and stop re broadcasting pictures of the moments when the exploitation and inappropriateness was occurring?

My argument is with the unintended consequence. Which is to say there are women and girls who are harmed yet again when these particular pictures are rebroadcasted.

I mean, her dad touches her in a way that is inappropriate and clearly makes her recoil. And our side is showing it over and over again?

It's not fair to her. That's all I'm saying. That, and can't we be on the side of women and girls in this particular instance ~

20. Hush hushing incest and victimization does not make it go away and has in fact been

the very societal norm which has allowed such behavior to flourish unchecked, and left victims feeling powerless and unable to speak out.

DU is pointing out that this behavior is unacceptable. If anything, exposure of his very disquieting, and might I add, very public behavior, helps to dispel misconceptions and myths that this kind of behavior only happens in "certain kinds" of families, i.e. Deliverance.

And I'm not in any way advocating a self censoring of the conversation. I think it's vital to shine a light on Trump's behavior - just not at the expense of the dignity of any woman or any girl.

I'm suggesting that the particular photographs - rebroadcasting an inappropriate
moment - revictimizes Ivanka, the harmed party.

I don't see the value in that.

I think we agree on just how reprehensible his behavior toward women is. I just take issue with the photographs and, as I said before, the unintended consequence of putting them out there yet again.
