'Trump Is Cratering': New Polls Signal Deep Trouble for Republican Nominee

Bloomberg Politics

A raft of new national and battleground polls released Thursday found Donald Trump slipping well behind Hillary Clinton one week after the end of the Democratic convention, and as the Republican nominee reels from a public feud with the parents of a slain Muslim American soldier.

"There has clearly been a significant movement toward Clinton in the last week," said Ken Goldstein, a professor of politics at the University of San Francisco and polling analyst for Bloomberg Politics. "Some of it is a Clinton post-convention bounce, but more of it seems to be a Trump deflation or implosion."

A new poll in Pennsylvania, seen by Trump's top strategists as a crucial bellwether, finds him trailing Clinton by 11 points (49 percent to 38 percent) among likely voters surveyed by Franklin & Marshall College.

...snip...

The survey found that Trump's advantages among white men and voters without a college degree are erased by his larger deficits among white women and college graduates. And he's down by 69 points among nonwhite voters, the poll found.

Trump has done everything to exclude everyone but bigoted white men. There should be no way he can win. I just wish his celebrity status was not in play.

It's like it was in California when they thought the Terminator would solve everything. That still scares me.

So what might make sense to me does not always matter.

Are the Khans Trump's "47% tape" moment? We can only hope.

for ratings. What will they do to line their pockets? The country and it's citizens be damned. Nothing is more important than the almighty dollar.

They do like to wow the viewers because wowing the viewers is good for ratings. That may be the only thing they've got for awhile. Although SHEESH I wish this were the first week of November already...

Trump's implosion will give them enough ratings and they won't need to make this a close horserace.

It sure seems like it's real, there are certainly enough reasons, but things are so insane right now I don't discount that unexpedted surprises are still before us.

or they will only show the day's disaster as we watch the slow motion collapse. Trump is reality tv. Nothing more or less. His show brings in viewers, but it's crashing because he's becoming boring.
